Discovering stories, engaging audiences

I’ve always been passionate about the environment and being outdoors. That fascination with landscape coupled with a love of science and storytelling led me to study geology at the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College, followed by a masters degree in Science Communication at the University of the West of England.

Those interests, merged with my love of creativity and innovation, have given me the opportunity to work with some amazing people and in some amazing organisations, including the Natural History Museum, University of Bristol, Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots youth environmental charity, Immediate Media, Factory Media, Future Plc, and on a range of freelance projects including the blockbuster Eco Futures exhibition in Abu Dhabi. I’ve worked as marketing manager for the Pedalabikeaway cycling hub in the SW of England, and digital strategist for BBC Wildlife Magazine.

I’m currently the Digital Communities Manager for the International Working Group (IWG) on Women and Sport, the world’s largest network dedicated to promoting equality for women and girls in sport and physical activity around the world.

My podcast, Spindrift, won Best Sports Podcast at the 2023 Independent Podcast Awards, and one of my current podcast projects has been shortlisted for prestigious Whicker Awards funding.

My skills include writing, presenting, multimedia creative production, relationship building, public engagement, event development, exhibition research and development, science communication, social media and content strategy.

I’m passionate about finding stories that people will identify and engage with, and helping people share their stories, experiences and expertise. I love finding new and innovative ways of creating and sharing great content, ensuring it’s perfectly suited to the audience.
